May 18th, 2026 Update
Gonna get this out of the way early. Not too much to report this week. I had a bit of a disaster week and had a couple of days where I barely got anything done. Despite that, I finished the first pass of Lost Mask. The next pass might take longer. ProWritingAid has a lot more tools and reports I can play with, so I'll see what I can get out of those. I want to be done by the end of the month and hope to finish the next pass, but this pass is also the most tedious. So we'll se

May 4th, 2026 Update
It's always weird when my updates line up with something else, and that's all I'll say about May the 4th, lol. I had a good week, not completely where I want to be, but a good week. The pre-order for Moonrise Audiobook is live and you can find it here. Beyond that, I got a good deal of writing done. Lost mask is up to 149,500 words. I'm almost done with chapter 44, and chapter 45 will be the last chapter. I'm not sure how long that chapter will be, but either way, the book wi

An up and down week. I won't go into all the details, but things conspired to keep me only at par, and that was a bit of a stretch. Otherwise, I have no new updates on anything. Moonrise Audiobook is still not live on audible. I'm tempted to poke Podium to poke Audible to see what the hold up is. The other three audio books are also in limbo. I likely won't know how far they are until Podium is close to releasing the first. I'm guessing they'll all be released pretty close to

April 20th, 2026 Update
Oh boy... Some of you who are on me Patreon are likely aware, but last week and the beginning of this week have been... yikes. The last twenty-four hours have given me whiplash. The start of last week went terribly, a bout of insomnia followed by sleeping poorly, and I just was not able to write Monday and Tuesday. That said, I'm only 500 words behind for the week. I was going to try to make that up last night, but then Reddit drama happened. I won't go into detail, but let's

April 13th, 2026 Update
Good evening, a bit late with this today, but I had a bit of insomnia and now I have no energy. So its going to be a rough start to the week. That said, I had a very good week. Didn't 100% reach my stretch goal, but I'm definitely ahead for the week. Lost Mask is up to 130k words and I feel like the end is finally on the horizon. After I finish the scene I'm on, I have four more scenes before I move into the closing section of the book which should be three to five chapters.

April 4th, 2026 Update
Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing alright and got through April Fools day without incident. I don't have much news this week. Writing went up and down, but I managed to stay on par. I'm reaching the halfway point on the scenes I want to cover before moving to close out the book. Lost Mask is up to 122k and still on track for 150k words. In other news, Moonrise has a tentative release date of May 19th. As soon as I have the pre-order link, I'll post it everywhere. Also,

Another week without much news. I had a rough week writing. It started out good and then just sort of dropped off from there. I kept waking up early and my neighbors sounded like they were trying to come through the ceiling. This left me tired at work and it was just hard to write. I was also trying to figure out the details for the scenes I want to write before I get to the conclusion. As of writing this, I've had a par week, but that includes the five hundred words I've alr

Not much to report this week. I'm still in limbo on the audiobooks and I had a par week. That being said, Lost Mask has a rough plan for how I'm going to end the book. I'm looking at about eight to ten scenes in the current section, and then three to four chapters to close out the book. The scenes in the current section may not take up a full chapter each, but we'll see. This means we're still looking at about 30-40k words, putting me right around the predicted 150k mark, but

Not much to report this week. The narrator for The Ashes series has been selected. I doubt they'll be doing a live performance, so to be safe and not violate my contracts at all, I'll wait to announce who it is until the first book has a release date or I notice the narrator has announced it themselves somewhere. Otherwise, I've had a fairly standard week. I'm safe and staying inside until this snowstorm passes. I hope everyone has a good week. Project Status Lost Mask - 104,

Not much news to pass on this week. Tess finished recording, and I got some sleep. That's about all. I don't know when the audiobook version will be out. I'm guessing June or July. They have to give it to their editors, have Tess rerecord any small portions that need fixes, then it needs to be mastered and whatever else goes into making an audiobook. As for the Ashes series, waiting on Podium to come back with a short list of narrators, so right now, everything is in limbo. P

March 2nd, 2026 Update
There is not much to tell this week. It was pretty much a repeat of last week. I got a little more writing done, but lack of sleep kept me from putting forward a full effort. Tess is getting pretty close to being done. She's not recording today, but indicated she's going to try to finish Tuesday. So I'm planning to grab the bull by the horns and try to play a bit of catch up. We'll see, but I'm definitely aiming to be above par for the week. I did commission a new piece of ar

Hiya! I had a surprisingly productive week, considering how I trashed my sleep schedule. It wasn't what I wouldn't normally consider on par for a week, but considering the work to prepare the Ashes series for audiobooks and listening in on Tess recording, I'm happy with the progress for the week. Listening in on Tess has been awesome, apart from nearly dying from mortification when she got to the first spicy section. Unfortunately, Tess caught a cold, so it may be a few days

Squee!!!!!! It has been a crazy week. First and foremost, Tess Irondale had a last-minute opening, and Moonrise is taking it. She should be recording live on her Discord server by the end of the week. I'll make an update when I know exactly when. Second, cause this week wasn't crazy enough, The Ashes of My Many Lives has been picked up as well. The process is just starting, but this means that one of my largest goals for the year has been accomplished. I'm so excited and happ

February 9th, 2025 Update
Phew, this week... To put it simply, I fell behind and did not get caught back up. I had a number of chores and obligations that needed to be done. I got most of them done, and the last one I'm going to do tomorrow shouldn't cause any emotional turmoil. Tax increases, having to pay in instead of getting a tax return, pronunciation guides for podium, meeting family and friends, and just not being able to get a full night's sleep the entire week just added up to me being a wrec

Febuary 02, 2025 Update
I hope everyone's January went well. I know that's... difficult for a lot of people, my hopes and prayers go out to those who haven't. That said, my January started out rough, but I've taken the first steps toward one of my major goals. I finally spoke about it in a Patreon post, so I'll speak of it here as well. Moonrise is going into production for audiobook production. We're still in the early stages, so I can't say exactly when it will be out. My first three books haven't

January 26th, 2026 Update
Nothing much to talk about this week. I didn't get as much done as I wanted, but I'm a little bit ahead for the week. Considering the cold sapping any motivation to do anything but curl up and read a book under a warm blanket, I'll take it. Highs of -15° F is... just bleh. I did get the cover art for Lost Mask, but otherwise, that's all I have to report, stay warm people. So the week was overall good, but my writing suffered a bit. I made good progress towards one of my major goals, but I'm waiting until things have progressed a bit more before I announce it. It's going to create some work for me that might slow down my writing a bit, but I'm excited either way. Sorry about being a bit closemouthed about it, I just want things to progress to a certain point. Until then it almost doesn't feel real to me. Project Statuses Primary Project - Lost

January 12th, Update 2026
It was a pretty decent week. I wrote more than the minimum and had nothing unpleasant happen, at least to me personally. This week is likely to be a bit more difficult. I have an appointment for my vehicle this morning, and I'm waiting for a response to an email to set up an appointment concerning one of my major goals for the year. I will not say anything beyond that, but I'm both excited and anxious. Beyond those, I have a couple of chores I really should get done this week
