Good Monday everyone! Moonshadow has been written. Right now, it's about 123k words long. There is a lot of content that I decided to save for the next book. Basically I looked at the story I was currently writing, and what had been my intended last act of the book. I realized how far I was about halfway through the book and had a choice, try to jam the plot of the last portion into the ending and write a book even longer than Lost Mask, or give it time to breathe and thread

Another mixed week, I fell a tiny bit short of my minimum 6k. A combination of letting myself get lost in several games (Castlevania: Belmont's Curse came out and I'm a huge fan), poor sleep, and being behind on editing were factors. Another painfully slow week, and this time I really have no one but myself to blame. I got lost in a video game early in the week and fell behind. Then a combination of poor sleep and being scatterbrained kept me from catching up. I've never been diagnosed with ADHD, but some days I feel like I have it. Another mediocre week. I fell behind early and then caught up towards the end. Moonrise is up to 98k, so I achieved just over 6k for the week. My arm is still bugging me, but for the most part I'm past the cold. September has been a disappointment, and I feel so far behind. I wanted to write three books this year. At this point, I'm going to have push hard to get Moonshadow published by the end of December. Getting 1500 words to be my par per day next year is definitely going

Another slow week. The cold really hit it's stride, and even when I slept well I was still fatigued for most of the week. I had very little ability to write this week and only managed 3k words. It seems that it's passed now for the most part. I've still got a bit of a cough, but It's not as bad, and I seem to be over the fatigue, assuming I sleep properly. Moonshadow is up to 92k. I really hoped to be over 100k and working towards the climax of the book, but I'm not there yet

Somehow, this week turned out worse than last week. I hate this downward trend in my writing. My arm is still bothering me, but by itself that wouldn't have caused this week. Instead, I got sick. It's not too horrible. I have a scratchy throat, am coughing a lot, and tired, as well as a few other things. Another terrible week, and by terrible, I wrote the 6k par. My arm is still hurting and sleep is elusive, though it does feel like it's slowly getting better. There's really not much else to say for the week. Thankfully, a terrible week is still my old Par. Beyond that I got the coverart for moonshadwo and I'm super happy with how it turned out. I still need to see how it'll work with hardcovers/paperbacks, but I'm optimistic. Moonshadow is up to 84k.

Very short update this week. I didn't have a great week. Between my arm still hurting and that interfering with sleep, I lost two days of writing, though one of those was spent editing based on notes from my beta. That said, I hit 6k words written, which is my minimum for the week, taking the book up to 78k. Beyond that, I got the first few sketches of Moonshadow's coverart. It's looking good so far, and I'm excited to see the artist flesh it out.

Another average week really. I got 7500 words in, bringing Moonshadow to 72k. I suffered from the usual tuesday curse, but otherwise hit my 1500 stretch goal the rest of the week. It's coming along nicely, but I'm still not sure how long it's going to be. I have decided to push some content to the next book so I can get all the stuff I want in, but I think it'll make the end of the book more impactful and set up book three nicely.
