Hello, my name is Chad J. Maske, a.k.a. as Phoenixfang on the internet. (Pictured above is the face of my alter ego/internet presence as Phoenixfang) I'm a Wisconsin native currently living near the capital city of Madison. I'm an avid reader and gamer. I play both video games and tabletops such as Pathfinder. I enjoy a variety of genres, though fantasy is my favorite, especially urban/modern fantasy. I like more character-focused, down-to-earth stories, and in recent years, I have focused mostly on stories with female protagonists and lesbian romantic interests.

As for my writing, I have been writing in various forms since high school, though most of that has been roleplaying on various sites and programs over the years, and I did not sit down to work on a story in years. But thanks to joining another author's discord and commissioning the piece I'm using for Elite Born, I set my fingers to the keys once again. I plan to focus mainly on character-driven, down-to-earth, fantasy stories. Romance, slice of life, LitRPG/Gamelit, and LGBTQ+ will also feature in my stories.

I currently work a full-time job, though it's largely babysitting a phone overnight, so I spend a lot of time reading, writing, and role-playing at work. I hope to continue working on my stories and getting better and more efficient at the craft.
