June 9th, 2025 Update

So I had a very productive week. I'm actually ahead right now. Otherwise, it was just a normal week for me. I hope everyone's Pride month is going well. Please support your local communities, not just LGBTQ+, but everyone. Everyone deserves to live safely and happily. Beyond that I'll decline to comment. Just be safe, happy, and peaceful.

Main Project - Elite Ascent - 52,700 words: I'm slightly ahead, which is a surprise. It took me longer to get to parsing level ups than I thought. I managed one sheet each on Friday and Saturday nights and then wrote about eight hundred to nine hundred words. Thankfully, I got ahead early in the week. That being said, I still have four more sheets and some other odds and ends to consider. I'm hoping to do two sheets today and two tomorrow, but we'll see. I expect to be behind by the end of the week, but I'll strive not to be. I also need to go back and see if I can add anything to a short chapter. I usually do at least 2800 words on a short chapter and try not to go below 2600, but right now, it's at just over two thousand words. I was originally going to parse the level ups and gear changes in the same chapter, but that would have led to the opposite problem. So we'll see what I can do.

Side Project Rise of the Blood Moon Witch - 2nd Pass Complete: I finished the second pass a day earlier. Partly because I wanted extra time to focus on the character sheets for the Ashes series. I'm going to start the third and final pass this week, though I may put it off to focus on keeping on track with Elite Ascent. This is the final read-through, so it shouldn't take long either way. That being said, I think I'm going to try finding an editor to do a proofread pass on it. This is a step I do eventually want to take, but I'm not sure if now is the time. On the other hand, I really want to do an October release, so I have the time to give it a try. It's mainly the cost I'm debating. I have no idea how this will be received, so I can't bank on it doing as well as Elite Born & Reborn Elite have done.

Other Projects: Nothing here, once I finish RotBMW I'll start working on getting my World Anvil set up.
