July 7th, 2025 Update

Another week and progress has been made. I would say I didn't get as much done this week as I would have liked to, but it's hard to gauge with my current projects. Other than that, no much to report. I'm back to my regular work schedule this week, and they're also redoing the parking lot of my apartment. We've sorely needed it. However, it might kill progression for the week. Simply put, I work nights, and I sleep during the day. They're going to be using heavy equipment to tear up pavement, pack down dirt and gravel, and then lay the new pavement and all that fun stuff. Which is noisy as all hell, during the hours I sleep. Thankfully, I'm on the opposite side of the building, but it might still lead to me barely being able to stay awake during my work hours, which will impact my writing. We'll see. I'm glad it's getting done, but it might be a week from hell.

Project Statuses

Main Project - Elite Ascent - 77,100 words: Basically just on par for this week, but that's good. I'm in the middle of the big scene for the current section of the book. After this, I have a few small scenes I want to get in and then transition into the third section of the book. I have four planned sections, but the third section is the climax of the book, and then section four is wrapping up the arc.

Side Project - World Anvil: This is where I feel I fell behind for the week. Had two days where I didn't work on it. That said, I spent extra time on the other days, figuring out how I wanted to set things up and getting some extra work done on another day. As I go, some sections won't take as long simply because I haven't written much for them, and others because I already have a lot of the work done, due to overlapping pieces I've already done. The big one will be the Phoenix section, as that simply has the most work to be done on it. Of course, after I finish the World Anvil for Ashes, I have to do the one for RotBMW, but that won't take as long.

Other Projects

Moonrise: I've possibly found an editor; they should be doing a sample edit for me today, and then after that, we'll see if things work out. Right now, the book is nearly at the point where I can publish it. All I'm missing is the dedication, the author's note, the about me section, and I need to do up the cover. I have the art, just need to add the title text.

Patreon: I have 5/6 pieces of the art, just waiting on the color version for the last one and then I'll work to get it set up.
