July 28th, 2025 - 1 Year Anniversary

One year ago, my website went live with my first blog post. The next day, I uploaded Elite Born to Amazon with a thirty-day preorder. So, I consider today the day I became an Author. I can't say when I started writing Elite Born with the intention of publishing it. I think it was around July 2023 that I started writing, but it’s impossible to say when I got serious. It's been a crazy year, and I'm so grateful to everyone that's read my books.

So what am I doing to celebrate? Going through setup hell. I think I’ve set up three or four things today just to set up one thing. What is the one thing I wanted to set up? My Patreon! It's up and ready with the first ten chapters of Moonrise!

Now, how did the week go? Alright, I could have done more on my World Anvil, but I did a decent amount of work and fit in a full week of writing. There's nothing that should slow me down this week. I might take today off in celebration, but otherwise I'll make sure I stay on par for the rest of the week.

Project Statuses

Main Project - Elite Ascent - 92,000 words: Not much to say here. Some of my chaotic thoughts came out, but I think it created a fun scene. I'm fully into the third section of the book, still not sure how long the book is going to be, but my average is about 125-130k words and I wouldn't be surprised if it's close to that.

Side Project - World Anvil: I finished Classes and Skills, so that leaves miscellaneous world info and characters. I have no idea how long these will take, because I'm going to have to do a bit of writing for each entry, as a lot of my notes are just that, notes.

Other Projects

Moonrise: So, having given up on the editor, I'm going to put together everything and get it ready for release. I might do that today instead of doing my usual writing, not sure, but we'll see.
