So, it's approaching the end of the year, and it appears things will be in more turmoil than usual. I'll stick to my personal reasons, but December and January are always huge distractions. First, my birthday is coming up next week. I won't say when, but it is next week. I honestly don't do much for my birthday, treat myself to some special meals, buy a few games, and make my parents take me out for dinner. I also take off of work for the entire week. This year, I took an extra two days off to visit someone clear across the state. Then you have Christmas and all the distractions that it brings, with New Year after it. My sister has her birthday early in January, and after that, there's all the stuff I'm not talking about, but it could have a huge impact on my life for the next few years... so yeah, distractions.
That said, how does that affect my writing? First, I'm not planning to take time off from writing at all, except the days I'm visiting family. I plan to do extra writing where I can to both get ahead and make up for the days I'll be missing. Will I be successful? I don't know, but I'm going to try. I'll keep making updates and let you all know.
As for last week, well, I should have honestly gotten ahead, but a lack of motivation struck Monday and Tuesday, where I wrote nothing and then half of what my daily goal is. So, a week when I had the energy to write extra turned into me writing extra for the rest of the days to reach par. But good news, I managed it! So yay. Not an ounce extra, but hey, I'll take par, pull up the bootstraps, and work to get ahead this week, even knowing that I'm missing Saturday for the first visit. Wish me luck!
Project Statuses
Main Project - Reborn Elite - 106,000 Words: Another week of progress. I have one or two more things I want to do in the third section that will transition into the last portion of the book. I honestly expect to be done writing by the middle to the end of January before I dive into editing. I'm hoping Editing won't take me as long this time, mostly because I'll already have completed the first step that took me so long last time. I also need to poke my artist, he hasn't been showing updates on his workload and I'm getting to the point I either need to know he'll be getting to my slots soon or finding a different artist.
Side Project 1 - Rise of the Bloodmoon Witch - 54,400 Words: I introduced a new character and I'm having fun writing with her. Otherwise, progress is steady; I completed a full chapter, which is my goal each week. I plan to also introduce another new character soon that will come with some long-term plot, so should be fun.
Side Project 2 - A Penny for a Wish - 17,500 Words: Sorry Penny.
