August 4th, 2025 Update

Last week was another week where I didn't get as much done as I wanted to. Monday, I took off for my one-year anniversary, and then I was struck with the Tuesday curse. After that, the week was pretty normal. With July ended, the 50% sale on Elite Born is done. It did well with a bump in sales. I don't think it was enough to offset the sale, but more attention is good. I'm hoping Reborn Elite will pick up this month because of it, but we'll see. Honestly, so far, each month Elite Born is outperforming Reborn Elite, and I'm hoping that will shift a bit. Obviously, each sale of Elite Born is a new reader, so I'm not complaining. Patreon is up and I'm getting used to putting content up there each week. So far, no one has signed up, but I still feel kind of greedy setting up, so mixed feelings there. I think my main goal with it right now is to recover the cost of the tier art. After that, I just want to grow a following. All the money is going towards either what will be my retirement fund, or hopefully, a savings account, and I can feel comfortable with going full-time with.

Project Statuses

Main Project - Elite Ascent - 96,000 words: Only four thousand words this week, which is... eh. But I took two days off, so expected. That being said I'm in the middle of the first of three major story beats for section three. The latter two will come really close together. I'm still not sure how long this is going to be, but as long as I don't have too many bad weeks, I see myself finishing between late August and late September. After that it'll take me a month for my beta readers to get through it and for me to edit it. I might try to look for an editor as I'm doing my own passes, not sure. Either way, I should be able to comfortably get it out before the end of the year, meaning three books for the year.

Side Project - World Anvil: I'm almost completely done with transferring the biggest reference document. I have the bestiary to do. After that, I'll do a page on the system mechanics and then it's onto characters, which will take a bit of time, especially for the party members, as I have to figure out how to put their sheets up and if there are features that will help me update them more smoothly in the future. After that I'll move on to RotBMW's World Anvil, though I may do that a little sooner so I can put it's link in Moonrise before I publish it.

Other Projects

Moonrise: This is pretty much set. I just need to format it in Kindle Create and write the blurb. I'm waiting a little bit to get the World Anvil started, but otherwise, it is ready to be put up. I added 99% of the front and back matter and added text to the cover art.
