August 25th, 2025 Update!

Last week was... a bit of a mess. Monday, I uploaded Moonrise for preorder. You can find it here- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FMV4K1JM. Between that, updating my website, doing posts on Reddit, and all the other stuff I do when I upload, I was pretty wiped out and didn’t write. Then the Tuesday curse struck... I really need to push past that. On top of that, I still haven’t gotten my car back, and I'm having issues with Goodreads that I'm trying resolve. That’s all the bad news. Good news. My artist is working on the cover of Elite Ascent, though he also had some bad news. I won’t say what those issues are, its not my place, but please, if you like my covers and are considering commissioning some art, do consider him, this https://trello.com/b/mvAgj8Fe/rochalerka-commission-progress has his contact issue, you can also find him on artists and clients here - https://artistsnclients.com/people/Rochalerka I’m going to give him some more work after the cover. I want to get a piece for Fraede and Phoebe. Along with that, I commissioned a 3D artist to do a custom miniature figurine of Aurora’s human and phoenix forms. It's going to be 75mm. They are creating STL files for 3D printing. Right now, I'm not getting commercial rights; this is just going to be a birthday present for myself. I'm going to commission someone else to print and paint the figurine. In the future, I may pay for the rights and sell them on my Patreon. Either way, I'll post pictures in my Discord when I get them. And the last bit of good news, despite not writing on Monday and Tuesday, I actually managed to write almost the normal amount. I was about two hundred words short.

Project Updates

Main Project - Elite Ascent - 114,000: As I mentioned earlier, I almost reached the minimum 6k words I aim to write each week. Along with that, I finished the climax. So right now the to-do list is as follows.

1. Climax Aftermath - This will be one chapter, though it might be a shorter chapter.

2. Arc Aftermath - I'm not sure exactly how long this is going to be, depends on my muse. I'm going to do a brief outline before I write it out. This should be either one or two chapters. I want to cover some small scenes, do it really depends on how much I let my muse off the leash.

3. Epilogue - This will be fairly short, just a small scene that will make some my intentions clear.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish this week, but I should definitely be done by the end of next week, after which I'll put it in the hands of my Beta and Arc readers.

Side Project - World Anvil: This suffered a bit, but I got a decent amount done despite everything. I'm aiming to finish up Species this week and maybe classes. After that it will be cleaning up any skills I haven't added by doing those, misc stuff, and then characters. I still have some stuff to do for the Ashes site. I'm going to focus on getting both done during the week I give my Beta and ARC readers to read Elite Ascent. I'm almost regretting that Elite Ascent and Moonrise will be coming out so close together. It's not going to give me much time to world-build for the series I'm starting next. This really only my advanced chapters for Patreon, but I have a story started but is on hiatus and the entire graveyard of stuff from highschool that I can use.
