April 7th, 2025 Update!

Not much to report this week. I had some trouble sleeping, so I didn't quite get as much done overall as I would have liked, at least in terms of writing. I completed my taxes and sent out the art brief for the cover early in the week, although I'm still waiting to hear back from my artist. Tentatively, I expect to finish Rise of the Blood Moon Witch this week. If I do, I'll take next week off from the project altogether and focus on world-building for both Ashes and the third series I want to start. Namely, I should spend time on the map for the Ashes world. Either way, I intend to move Elite Ascent into my main project slot once I finish RotBMW's initial draft. I'll give my beta readers a week or two to dig in then I'll start editing it as my secondary project.

Project Statuses

Main Project - Rise of the Blood Moon Witch - 118,400 Words: I would have liked to get about another fifteen hundred words done for this, but I was just so tired during the times I write that I was having trouble pushing forward. It's still more than my average for the week, but I also didn't work on any other projects. Honestly, I wish I'd been able to do 12k plus. Right now, I'm right in the middle of the climax, so I have to finish the current scene and then handle the aftermath. That's it.

Side Project 1 - Elite Ascent - 7200 Words: No progress here. Every time I tried to work on it this week my brain just kept focusing on RotBMW. So for now, I'm going to push to get that finished and then switch to this.
